Peter Lion had been inclined towards writing from a very young age. Throughout his growing up years in Connecticut he was seen dabbling in poetry and also wrote a number of short stories. His talent in this field was further honed when after joining the Notre Dame High School in Connecticut he soon began contributing to the students school newspaper.
He set out to create a career of his passion for the words first by getting a degree in Journalism from the Southern Connecticut State University. He printed his first magazine article in the Hartford Magazine before he graduated with his journalism degree.
He ventured to the television business before he’d completed his college. A few months before graduation, Peter Lion took up a job with WTNH-TV as a part time graphics operator. This television channel was an associate of the ABC network and was based out of New Haven. Peter Lion though, had no knowledge of this industry snapped up this chance to gain an entry and to create a foothold in the news and tv industry.
He mastered the ropes rapidly, comprehending the technicalities of the workings of the television network and remained a part of the channel for over a period of 2 years.
Then he moved to Boston and started working with WSBK as a Technical Director. He labored on several projects, his major one being the Boston Red Sox Baseball and Boston Bruins Hockey. Nevertheless, his desire to be in television and his love for writing pulled him back in his home state as a part of a little television station start up.
He signed up with this team as a director as well as a technical director for the 10 PM news cast, which was to become the very first within the state. He has been a 2 time winner of the Emmy awards, although he has been nominated many times for his contribution in the television industry. He got his first Emmy for his work in Sports Centre and received his second Emmy for the show NFL countdown.
Apart from working, Peter Lion is presently focusing on his 2nd book. He is additionally a part of a band that goes by the name of Cheaper than Therapy” and is its lead singer and guitarist
